Kristel Becares is a Philippine-born, Chicago-based fine artist, illustrator, and graphic novelist.

Her work is influenced by shoujo manga, mythology & folklore, horror & surrealism, history & pop culture, and Filipino culture; but above all, she is driven by her love of storytelling.
